Jenn and I call it Magnet Matching, making yourself the allower and attractor of good things in your life. We are powerful co-creators with Universal Life Force (God, Spirit, Source), and we can either choose to harness the laws of Quantum Physics and the lessons of many spiritual masters, or we can just live by default.
Hooked on Alignment is all about choosing “FREE WILL” and being the artist crafting a life you really want. All of our teachings, methods and strategies come from our accumulated knowledge of all the practices we have explored, studied and tried. When we find or create strategies that WORK, we share our version of that method with you. It is what we are passionate about and what we feel called to do.
My absolute favorite Zen saying on this topic is...
“The ways to the One are as many as the lives of men (and women).”
This principal is “us” in a nutshell. It is what we teach. Think of it like an enormous buffet of expressions of universal truth, ways to access and use “The Force” and maintain a Vibrational Lifeset Point that will allow the science of Quantum Mechanics to work to your advantage. I’m pumped just writing about it!!
Invoking your inner power is the key to a happy and fulfilling life. And that’s not to say we achieve some place where we are completely above any form of challenge, sadness or random crappy events. Those are part of a human life here on earth. But how you approach them, what you believe about the purpose of strife in your life, and your ability to bounce back and learn from adversity can become part of your power!
We have been talking about journaling A LOT in the past month as we lead up to the release of a course on the 7 types of Journaling, but equally powerful is the tool of meditation. Meditation can take a multitude of forms, from the guru sitting in peaceful, focused meditation for hours and achieving enlightenment, to me listening to a guided meditation on YouTube
while I walk around my neighborhood. It’s not so much “how” you meditate, but what happens inside you while you do.
When we quiet the chatter of the mind in meditation, we relax into the present moment. We aren’t fretting, worrying, frantically zooming ahead to future “to do’s”, nor replaying past events. A meditative state is where you consciously say, “shhhhh…” to all of that, and you bask for a moment (or longer) in the calm, present moment. In that moment of not focusing on the past or the future, you are just being. This is the place where your consciousness is connected to the Divine. Here you can heal, connect and receive intuitive information from Source (kind of like running an update on your device).
In a relaxed but alert meditative state it’s like you are a car in neutral. You’re not in drive or reverse, yet your engine is on and you are idling. In that idling moment, you are in alignment, open and more connected to your power, to the Oneness. Beautiful things happen in neutral. Far from just sitting there and breathing, you are…
Healing your physical and emotional body
Recharging your energy levels
Reducing stress by activating the parasympathetic nervous system
Achieving brain and heart coherence
Sensing and knowing you are connected to everything
Able to receive downloads from God/Spirit
Vibrating at a higher state which activates the law of attraction
Prime for allowing all the good you deserve to flow to you
In touch with your higher self
Able to rewire circuits in the brain to change old patterns, habits and beliefs
I hope you noticed that the above list includes scientific benefits, metaphysical benefits and spiritual benefits. That’s the synthesis Hooked on Alignment strives to achieve. It’s our way.
We like to meditate before we journal because we feel it opens up that channel to let ideas and downloads flow through to the page. You could use meditation this way or just as a break from your routine. It is so very versatile.
There are apps for meditating, YouTube videos and recordings and/or you can just sit in silence too and count breaths in and out. Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
